The MCA Board of Directors, along with volunteers from curling clubs around the state, continues to grow our organization with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. Annual member dues are just $3 per member. Here are a few ways member dues and resources are used.
NEW INITIATIVES:
• Reviving a state-wide high school curling program culminating with a state tournament in March in Duluth
• Assisted 13 ice makers with their fees to attend a USCA ice summit in Brainerd this past October
• Facilitating Officiating Clinics to increase our pool of officials and provide learning opportunities
• Piloting an Adult Skills Clinic
• Facilitating Instructor Clinics
• Instructional brochures
• MN Curling Passport – a great excuse to visit clubs throughout the state, more details coming
• Curling Day in Minnesota
• Exploring the idea of grants and loans to clubs in need
